Welcome to Yorkshire recommends No.21 York as THE place to stay

A Stunning B&B To Stay In When Visiting York

York remains one of Yorkshire’s premiere tourist hotbeds and it’s not difficult to see why.

First up there’s the dramatic Gothic Minster in the heart of the city – easily one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. Secondly, the selection of fascinating tourist attractions like the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum and The York Dungeon to discover. Thirdly, the genuine World Class cuisine that can be found round every corner. Dubbed “centre of my food universe” by The Times’ food critic Giles Coren, York’s culinary highlights include the 2018 White Rose Award winning restaurant Skosh, the critically acclaimed Le Cochon Aveugle on Walmgate or, everyone’s favourite tearoom, Bettys.

In short, York has the lot for a perfect weekend trip away. But where to stay, I here you ask? Well, the city is not short of great accommodation options to suit all budgets, so we’ve decided to narrow it down a little bit and highlight some of the best Inns, B&Bs and guest houses that York has to offer.

No.21 York

Up first, is No. 21 York. With the choice of eight bedrooms and within a stone’s throw of York City Centre, No.21 is a great place to set as your base for a trip exploring York. Located just next to York Museum Gardens, you can take the option of strolling through the gardens and having a look in Yorkshire Museum – for dinosaur lovers a trip to the Yorkshire’s Jurassic World (which was opened by the great Sir David Attenborough) is a must here.

Breakfast is a locally sourced affair at No.21 with meats coming from the local butchers, jams and marmalade from a nearby farm and other produce coming from the county too. You’ll certainly be set up for the day.
