At No. 21 York we have one pet friendly room for our guests who wish to travel with their Four Paw – See Room 1 on our Rooms Page – we also offer a pet sitting/walking service so you can enjoy some time out in York safe in the knowledge that your Four Legged Family Member is being well taken care of.  Please note that both the Pet Friendly Room and Puppy Sitting are subject to the availability of this room and are on a request basis.

Your Pooch will be welcomed with a personalised Hamper with a greeting card from Nate – with suggestions of dog friendly eateries, a doggie walking map of York and our surround – a tennis ball, home-made treats & poo bags along with a blanket for the bed & a drying towel for those liquid sunshine days.

Pet sitting is strictly by prior arrangement – at the time of making your reservation – due to the commitments of the business, we may not be able to offer this service at short notice.

We have had dogs ourselves for the past 25 years and Andrea has been working with dogs, socialising and training with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People since 2013 and, more recently with Well Connected Canine since 2018, Wharfdale Dog Training and the RSPCA this since 2020.  Andrea has a Foundation Degree in Applied Canine Behaviour and Training at Bishop Burton College, and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree, whilst volunteering with Well Connected Canine and Wharfdale Dog Training, assisting their dog trainers and behaviourists, who provide training advice and behavioural solutions to their clients.

Bedding and bowls are available – so you can travel a little lighter – but you are welcome to bring your own too. Andrea is fully insured too, so your four legged child with be in safe hands.

Our fees are £15.00 per hour for a single pup/pet and £20.00 per hour for two.
